CORINNA WATER DISTRICT

MEETING MINUTES – MONTH OF MARCH

APRIL 29, 2013

            

The Corinna Water District met at the Stewart Library Building and the meeting was called to order at 3:02pm.

Present were Chairman Jim Louder,  Bill Condon, Elaine Lister, Operator Scott Paradis and Secretary-Treasurer Sandee Kerr.

Treasurer reported the checking account balance at Sebasticook Valley Credit Union is $10,082.96 as of April 29, 2013.  The balance will be $8,379.14 when checks listed on the April Warrant are approved.

 Bill Condon made a motion to accept the March minutes.   Elaine Lister
 seconded.  Unanimous approval.

  

 PUBLIC COMMENTARY:

 None

  

 OPERATOR’S REPORT:      

 Operator reported that there are no problems and everything is going OK.



 BUSINESS:   
 

 Jim Louder received a phone call from Ed Hathaway (EPA) regarding connecting water to the Traditions (Hemingway) Building.  This should occur sometime this Spring.

 Follow-up from meeting with Small Water Utilities and State Officials in 
Augusta.

    

Steve Levy (MRWA) is in the process of setting up a meeting with State Officials in Augusta.  The future of CWD will be discussed at the meeting.   It will probably be held sometime in June.

Still no word on when the grant money will be released by the State.

 

Per DOT, when the State does the proposed work on Exeter Road (Rt 43) CWD will be responsible for approximately $500 which is the cost to raise the gate valves. 

 
OTHER BUSINESS:

REVIEW OF  ACCOUNTS:

17           accounts paid in full

  8            accounts owe for 1st Quarter

  1            account – makes partial payments, has credit balance

  1            account not occupied/no further billing ( Insurance Building )

 

          

WARRANT FOR UNPAID BILLS:    

The April Warrant was reviewed and approved. 

  

The next meeting will be held on Thursday May 30, 2013 at 3:00pm.
