CORINNA WATER DISTRICT
MEETING MINUTES – MONTH OF AUGUST
AUGUST 26, 2013
The Corinna Water District met at the Stewart Free Library Building and the meeting was called to order at 3:05pm.
Present were Chairman Jim Louder, Bill Condon, Elaine Lister, Operator Scott Paradis, and Secretary-Treasurer Sandee Kerr.
Treasurer reported the checking account balance at Sebasticook Valley Credit Union is $12,049.81 as of August 26, 2013.
The balance will be $10,468.33 when checks listed on the August Warrant are approved.
Elaine Lister made a motion to accept the July minutes. Bill Condon seconded. Unanimous approval.
PUBLIC COMMENTARY:
None
OPERATOR’S REPORT:
Operator reported that he is dealing with the EPA concerning the former Pearson Store (now Traditions) who is looking into hooking up to water service this fall. Operator stated that the small meter should be what is needed. He also said that there may be some issues to deal with because of the State paving project about to begin on the Exeter Road. Operator will not be available from September 5th to September 10th.
BUSINESS:
-Update on meeting with State Officials: Scheduling is still ongoing. Jim Louder hasn’t connected with Steve Levy and Ken Fredette yet but is still trying.
-Documents have been submitted to Maine Drinking Water for $2,000 grant reimbursement: Waiting for response from MDW
OTHER:
-Insurance (Lightning Claim). Bill Condon will submit the required information.
REVIEW OF ACCOUNTS:
25 accounts paid in full
1 account – makes partial payments, has credit balance
1 account not occupied/no further billing ( InsuranceBuilding )
5 Supplemental bills were issued 7/17 for Back Flow
( three are paid and two are outstanding. Secretary will mail reminder
statements )
WARRANT FOR UNPAID BILLS:
The August Warrant was reviewed and approved.
The next meeting will be held on Monday September 30, 2013 at 3:00pm.
