CORINNA WATER DISTRICT

MEETING MINUTES – MONTH OF JANUARY

MEETING JANUARY 27, 2014

            

The Corinna Water District met at the Stewart Library Building and the meeting was called to order at 3:00pm.

Present were Chairman Jim Louder, Bill Condon and Secretary-Treasurer Sandee Kerr.

Treasurer reported the checking account balance at Sebasticook Valley Credit Union is $17,538.27 as of January 27, 2014.  The balance will be $15,742.37 when checks listed on the January Warrant are approved.

Jim Louder made a motion to accept the December minutes.    Bill Condon seconded.   Unanimous approval.

 

 PUBLIC COMMENTARY:

      None

 

OPERATOR’S REPORT:      

        Operator wasn’t present at the meeting but reported in advance that everything is working OK.

      

BUSINESS:  

Maine Rural Water is still working on our behalf to secure more revenue, access to a superintendent when needed and a larger customer base.

Elaine Lister submitted a written resignation from the Board of Trustees.  Jim Louder stated that the Water District will accept her resignation and submit it to the Town who needs to appoint a replacement as soon as possible.

Jim Louder is aware of an inquiry for possible construction of a cell phone tower on water district property.

OTHER:

There is a possible candidate for an abatement.  Jim Louder made a motion that we grant it if requested.   Bill Condon seconded.  Unanimous approval.


REVIEW OF  ACCOUNTS:

18           accounts paid in full

  8            accounts owe for 3rd Quarter

  1            account – makes partial payments, has credit balance

  
1            account not occupied/no further billing ( Insurance Building )

         

WARRANT FOR UNPAID BILLS:    

The January Warrant was reviewed and approved. 


The next meeting will be held on Monday February 24th at 3:00pm.
