PERFECT FIT COMMUNITY CENTER COMMITTEE MINUTES

MARCH 10, 2025

ITEM 1:  Meeting was called to order by Ron Richards at 5 pm on March 10, 2025.

Attended:  Gary Dorman, Denis Carr, Ron Richards, Barb Peavey and Emily Lemire

ITEM 2:  Treasurer’s report a motion was made by Denis and seconded by Gary and all was approved as read and written.

ITEM 3:  minutes a motion was made by Gary and seconded by Ron and all was in favor for it to be approved as written.

ITEM 4:  no public comment

ITEM 5:  New business

  1.  Security Camera:  A motion was made by Barb to have a camera put into the guy for around $1000.00, second by Denis and all are in favor.
  2.  Gary made a motion for the Youth Ranch to go under 1 membership for 1 year.  No more than 2 kids at a time can come in and they are 10 to 20 year olds.  Barb second the motion and all in favor.
  3. Gary made a motion for any one in our fire department that wants a year membership to the fitness center can get in for a reduced price of $200.00 instead of $250.00.  Emily second the motion and all in favor.

ITEM 6: OLD BUSINESS

  1.  We are going to have the public works pull up the old playground out of the ground for us so we can get read of it. This needs to be done this spring.  We are not responsible for the basketball or tennis court.
  2. We need to get a quote for a new basketball/pickleball.  Do we want to go with asphalt or go with Prime play.  Need different levels of pricing.  Then we can apply for the T-Mobile Hometown Grant. 

ITEM 7: Additional

  1.  Gary will be doing community yard sale again on August 1, 2 and 3. 
  2.  Trunk A Treat on Friday October 31st.
  3. Craft fair on May 3rd.  We need to put ad in paper for it.
  4. An inspection needs to be done on the new playground the end of April or first of May.  We also need to put in garbage cans out there.
  5. Need port a potties out side for softball and baseball season.
  6. People have been asking to use the score board machine for basketball.  Can we put it someplace so people can use it. We also need to have it looked at because part of it does not work.  Do we need to replace it or can it be fixed?  Also we decided to do no rentals on basketball they still need to bring their own.
  7. We need to look into having Scooter look at the front part of the new playground to do something about all the water and have it fixed so it will drain better.
  8. Voted for new officers:

President – Ron Richards, Vice-President – Gary Dorman, Treasurer – Emily Lemire, Secretary – Barb Peavey and Denis Carr

  1.  We need to have a joint meeting with the Rec Department so we can all get on the same page.

ITEM 8:  Next meeting will be on Monday April 7, 2025 at 5 pm.  Ron made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:45 pm.  Barb second the motion and all in favor.
