Secretary’s Report:  Secretary was absent, moved to delay approval of December 6th. Meeting until next board meeting.

New Business:  Gary asked if anyone had ideas or suggestions for goals for our coming year.   General consensus was continuing to pursue grants and revenue sources for improving ballfields, rebuilding of playground and starting after school program.  Also suggested to sponsor more craft fairs, cornhole tournaments etc.., to increase income.

Old Business:

  1.  Status 0f Building Sale, Gary gave updated information on progress of sale of building to Perfect Fit.  General discussion was held.
  2. Budget for 2022, Gary presented budget sheet prepared by Lois showing we would be asking for $54,000. At town meeting plus carrying forward our unspent balance of $9534.47. Questions were asked about water and sewer charges do to separation after sale and possible increase cost if after school program is implemented.  Gary would pass on concern to Lois.
  3. Sale of Kitchen equipment.  Gary asked about how we wanted to sell equipment, first come, by bid, set price, etc.  General consensus was to get what we could and first person to agree to buy it gets it.  Gary agreed to try and advertise and handle sales.
  4. Exercise programs by M. Ervin.   Gary explained that Michelle was expanding her program to include exercise programs Monday through Thursday.   He wanted to know how board was feeling about maybe sponsoring this program as part of our offering to the citizens until Michelle can get the program up and running.   Board agreed to not charge for first four months and then revaluate in April.   Town will help promote by advertising on Facebook and through town newsletter.

Other Business:

  1.  Gary asked about working with Mike on getting an additional Heat Pump to put up on the stage as there is currently very little heat when the wall is closed.  Hopes to be able to partner with Mike when they install heat pumps in the rest of the building to put one up there, we can take funds out of reserve.  Board agreed.
  2. Urinal Repair.   We have another stuck value on one of the urinals in the men’s room and having trouble finding a plumber to fix.   Board gave Allen several names to try, to see if we can get someone to respond.
  3. Open Gym.  Gary has had several requests for open gym times.  Board felt this was a recreation issue, and it should be up to them to setup.
  4. Town Report.  Gary presented a report for the Town Report on the community center for the prior year.   Gary will forward to Lois for submittal in the 2022 Town Report.

Next Meeting February 7th. At 5 PM
