CORINNA WATER DISTRICT

MEETING MINUTES – MONTH OF NOVEMBER

         NOVEMBER 28, 2011     

  

The Corinna Water District met at the Stewart Library Building and the meeting was called to order at 3:00p.m.

Present were Chairman Jim Louder, Bill Condon, Elaine Lister, Operator Scott Paradis and Secretary/Treasurer Sandee Kerr.

Treasurer reported the checking account balance at Sebasticook Valley Credit Union is $16,710.55 as of November 28, 2011.  The balance will be $15,172.99 when checks listed on the November Warrant are approved.

 

PUBLIC COMMENTARY:

None

  

OPERATOR’S REPORT:      

Operator stated that everything is running good and there are no problems.  Operator informed the trustees that the backflow test failed at the elementary school.  The Superintendent’s office stated that they are working on a fix and will submit a passing backflow test asap.

 

BUSINESS:

Revised Terms and Conditions will go into effect in January.  A packet concerning updates to the T’s and C’s was carefully screened and discussed with Maine Rural Water prior to being discussed at the November meeting. 

The failed backflow test at the elementary school was discussed.  The Superintendent’s office should have notified CWD within 24 hours of the failed test.  As this may impact the entire water system it needs to be remedied and tested again immediately.  Secretary was asked to contact the Superintendent’s office advising    them of the requirements and requesting immediate action.

 

REVIEW OF  ACCOUNTS:

     22 accounts paid in full to date

       1 account making weekly payments

       1 accounts owe full amount for 3rd  Qtr

       1 account owes most of 3rd Qtr ($91.18) returned “signed” payment

         arrangement, will pay $45.59 by 12/6 and $45.59 by 1/6/12.

       1 account not occupied/no further billing ( Insurance Building )

 

 WARRANT FOR UNPAID BILLS:    

 The November warrant was reviewed and approved. 

 

 The next meeting will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2011.

 Meeting adjourned at 3:36 p.m.
