CORINNA WATER DISTRICT

MEETING MINUTES – MONTH OF DECEMBER

DECEMBER 31, 2012   
         

      The Corinna Water District met at the Stewart Library Building and the meeting was called to order at 3:00pm.  Present were Chairman Jim Louder,  Bill Condon, Elaine Lister and Secretary-Treasurer Sandee Kerr.

 

      Treasurer reported the checking account balance at Sebasticook Valley Credit Union is $9029.22 as of December 31, 2012.  The balance will be $6664.16 when checks listed on the December Warrant are approved.

 

      Bill Condon made a motion to accept the November minutes.   Elaine Lister seconded.   Unanimous approval. 

 

      PUBLIC COMMENTARY:

      None

 

      OPERATOR’S REPORT:      

      Operator stated that everything is running OK and that he read meters today.  He also stated that he is waiting for Bill Condon to complete some work.    

 

      BUSINESS:   

                -Per Jim Louder not many people attended the meeting with State officials concerning the future of CWD.  Jim Louder is working to set up a meeting in Augusta to meet with as many officials as possible.

                -There will be a round table meeting to be arranged by MRWA in March for small water systems.

                -Operator wages for 2013 were discussed and a 2% increase was decided on.  The monthly wage for 2013 Will be $640.00 and extra hours, if any, will be paid at $15.28.

                -There will be no increase in Administrative Payment to the Town.

                -The decision made by the Town to cut the present Secretary-Treasurer from the Town payroll and replace Her with one or more other town employee(s) was discussed.  The CWD Board of Trustees is not in Favor of that decision.  Jim Louder plans to attend the Selectman’s Meeting on January 9^th at 6pm at the Fire Annex to discuss this.               

                -The Budget for 2013 was discussed.  Bill Condon made a motion to accept the Budget and Elaine Lister seconded.

                -The Meeting Schedule for 2013 was determined.

                              

      REVIEW OF  ACCOUNTS:

        24           accounts paid in full

        1              accounts  – owes for 3^rd Quarter

        0              accounts  – have credit balance

        1              account – makes partial payments, has credit balance

        1              account not occupied/no further billing

WARRANT FOR UNPAID BILLS:    

The November Warrant was reviewed and approved. 

  

The next meeting will be held on Monday January 28, 2013 at 3:00pm.
