PERFECT FIT COMMUNITY CENTER COMMITTEE MINUTES
APRIL 2024
MEMBERS PRESENT: Dennis Carr, Ron Richards, Darlene Bagley, Gary Dorman, Lois Jones and Barbara Peavey
Item 1: Meeting was called to order at 5 pm.
Item 2: Treasurer’s Report: Reserves – 446,301.61, Expenses – 40,925.54, Playground fund – 89,878.91 moved by Dennis and seconded by Gary all in favor.
Item 3: Minutes of March 11, 2024 moved by Gary and seconded by Lois and all in favor.
Item 4: New Business
- On the pickleball we are going to try and hold daytime events and we will get one net, a few balls, paddles and tape out one court. The kind of tape that you can take up for right now and see if there is interest. Dennis so moved, Gary seconded and all are in favor.
- Craft fair funds are to go to the utilities bill. Gary made the motion; Darlene seconded it and all are in favor.
- Silver Sneakers will be getting done on May 22, 2024. Not enough interest in the program.
- Paving parking lot. Gary made the motion to take $3,500.00 out of the reserve fund to pay for the paving. Dennis second the motion and all are in favor.
- Cameras; Barb made the motion for us to get and have installed three cameras for $450.00 with no monthly fees. One put in the gym, and two in the entrance. Darlene second the motion and all are in favor.
- Ben Teer/Mike Lebel; We are going to have Ben sign a contract that he gets the gym from 3 to 8 p,m. And also give him a key card instead of using the regular keys. We are all good with Mike using the gym when he would like when no one is using it.
- Playground safety inspections – annually would be $400.00 per inspection. Check with insurance company about the inspections. We are putting in for our date to install playground for the weeks of July 8 – 12 or 13 – 19. We got the date for Friday July 5th for the playground insolation. We need to find storage for the part before that date. Rob and Rick Veazie gave us some transmission poles. Yoders will work on the red cider and trade for some hemlock. For the red pine it is $24.00 for a 20-footer. Gary Perkins from Perko will transport all the wood for a fee.
Item 5: New Business
- Exercise room; Mike wants to lease back the room where the fitness room is going. We will let him sublet the room out year to year and sharing it with him. We need to find out who with have the liability on the room? We also need to have some rules set in place on how it is going to be run. Ages 18 and older can use it. We will sit down with Mike to set all the rules.
Item 6: Additional:
Craft fair food; We need help that day selling food. Every spot is taken in the gym and two spots are open In the room.
